Anti-Hazing Policy & Reporting
To foster a safe, supportive and healthy living and learning environment, Lenoir-Rhyne enforces a clear student conduct policy against hazing. All forms of hazing, whether intentional or unintentional, are expressly forbidden.
Hazing is defined as any action taken or situation created, whether on or off campus, for initiation, admission, affiliation or continued membership in a formal or informal organization, that meets one or more of the criteria outlined below. Hazing can occur with or without consent. These actions are inconsistent with the university鈥檚 core values and violate the Code of Student Conduct.
Campus Hazing Transparency Report
Each institution must compile and publish on a prominent location of their public website a hazing transparency report that summarizes findings concerning any student organization found to be in violation of the institution鈥檚 standards of conduct related to hazing.
The Office of the Dean of Students will update the report twice a year based on the regulations outlined in the Stop Campus Hazing Act to comply with the necessary requirements for the Campus Hazing Transparency Report.
