Fun-facts for Move-In Day 2025


This fall, 樱花动漫 welcomed a record-setting group of new students, bringing energy, curiosity, and diverse perspectives to campus. From first-year students moving into residence halls to transfers joining the community, the start of the semester is always a lively time.

鈥淢ove-in day is one of my favorite days of the year,鈥 shared Harry Titus, Ed.D., dean of students. 鈥淚t鈥檚 when our campus really comes alive with energy, excitement, and curiosity. Our residential life and student affairs team works tirelessly to make this day鈥攁nd the start of the semester鈥攕mooth and welcoming for students. Seeing all of that come together is just amazing.鈥

Students arrived from 24 states and 11 countries, reflecting the reach of the Lenoir-Rhyne admission team, whose members last year traveled to more than 550 recruiting events across the U.S., visiting 106 more locations than the previous year.

New Students This Year
  • 827 new students are joining Lenoir-Rhyne鈥攖he largest incoming group since COVID.
  • This total includes first-years, transfers and graduate students.
First-Year Students
  • 347 first-year students will live on campus.
  • By gender: 169 female, 178 male.
  • Students come from 24 states, with the largest groups from North Carolina (200), South Carolina (41) and Georgia (25).
  • 16 international students hail from countries including Canada, France, Kenya, Mexico and the United Kingdom.
Residential Life & Campus Buzz
  • Supported by 30 resident assistants, four graduate assistants and three professional staff.
  • Anticipating 192 scoops of ice cream at socials after open section meetings on Move-In Day.
  • Between move-in, orientation, and everyday campus life, students keep our network humming鈥1,500鈥2,000 devices are connected to Wi-Fi on a typical class day, with an annual peak of 1,998 devices last November!
Academic Interests

    Top intended majors: exercise science (51), nursing (38), business administration (30) and sports management (30).

  • 27 students are undecided, keeping their options open.
  • Other majors range from biochemistry to visual art, reflecting a wide range of academic interests.
Undergraduate Community Highlights
  • 26 legacy students, 53 high school Beta Club members, 16+ high school junior marshalls and 10+ high school student government members.
Transfer Students
  • Named to the Phi Theta Kappa Transfer Honor Roll.
  • Transfer commitments are up 20% from last year.

From record-setting new students to international representation, thriving student organizations, and a campus network that never sleeps, Lenoir-Rhyne is ready for an exciting year ahead!
