Transfer and Graduation Coordinator


Location: Hickory, North Carolina 

Position Summary 

樱花动漫 is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized, systems thinker to join our team as a Transfer and Graduation Coordinator. The Transfer and Graduation Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the academic success of our students and ensures the accurate maintenance of academic records. Reporting to the University Registrar, the Transfer and Graduation Coordinator will be responsible for a range of essential duties, including student transfer evaluations, student degree audits and graduation processes.

Job Responsibilities

The Transfer and Graduation Coordinator has the following specific job functions:

  • Academic Policy Compliance: Maintain a strong commitment to the integrity, accuracy, and security of all student data following all FERPA guidelines. Stay informed about and ensure compliance with university academic policies and curriculum.
  • Degree Audits and Graduation: Collaborate with academic advisors, faculty advisors, and deans to perform degree audits for students, ensuring they meet graduation requirements. Coordinate the student graduation clearance process across multiple staff, including reviewing applications, awarding degrees  and producing diplomas.
  • Communication and Support: Serve as a resource for students, faculty, and staff regarding academic policies, transfer evaluations, audit information and other academic matters. Respond to inquiries, provide guidance, and resolve issues effectively and professionally.
  • Technology and Systems: Utilize the student information system (SIS) (currently PowerCampus), Microsoft Office Suite, curriculum audit software (Stellic) and other relevant software to articulate transfer credit, maintain student records, generate reports and verify graduation status.
  • Transfer Evaluations: Provide timely transfer evaluations for new and current students, including but not limited to initial evaluations, updates, appeals and approvals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree in a relevant field such as education, administration or a related discipline.
  • Proficient computer and technical skills including Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience working with individuals at all levels of the university.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Effective problem-solving ability and organizational skills.
  • Excellent time management to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in managing student records.
  • Ability to work outside of normal business hours occasionally (campus events, pre-registration, etc.).
  • Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships among diverse faculty, staff and students.
  • Demonstrates initiative, creativity, the ability to work well independently and in a team, and ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a Registrar Office or other related college academic administration office.
  • Understanding of degree audit systems (Stellic) and experience with transfer evaluation practices.
  • Familiarity with academic policies, procedures, and regulations governing higher education institutions.
