Following a comprehensive national search, Erica Chandler, M.A., will be joining ӣ������ as the new university registrar beginning on January 15, 2025. With more than 20 years of extensive experience in higher education, Chandler brings expertise in admissions, enrollment management, student advising, and registrar functions.

Erica’s extensive experience in higher education administration, her commitment to the integrity of academic records, and her collaborative leadership style make her the perfect fit for this role,” shared Jeni Wyatt, Ed.D., assistant provost for undergraduate education. “Her expertise in leveraging technology, improving processes, and fostering inclusive practices will greatly enhance the experience for our students, faculty, and staff. We look forward to the many contributions she will make to our university community.”

Chandler brings with her extensive knowledge of regulatory compliance including training teams on FERPA guidelines to ensure adherence to these essential guidelines and knowledge of systems such as SEVIS, the National Student Clearinghouse, and VA student certification that will enhance the Registrar’s Office operations while ensuring compliance with external stakeholders.

As university registrar, Chandler will be working closely with ӣ������, Financial Aid, Business Offices, and Student Advising to improve processes and enhance the student experience. Chandler has worked alongside staff to provide unconscious bias training and to establish respectful and equitable workplaces. She regularly reviews policies and procedures to ensure alignment with standards and institutional goals.

Chandler brings experience as registrar at several liberal arts and professional institutions, most recently at Baptist Health Sciences University of Memphis. Her background also includes roles in admissions, advising, and compliance. She holds a B.S. in biology and an M.A. in education from Bethel College in Tennessee.
