Creative Writing Minor
Our creative writing minor hones writing skills, cultivates creativity and encourages self-expression.
Strong writing skills are essential to success in the workplace, and a minor in creative writing provides you with greater literacy and stronger analytical skills.
Throughout this course of study, you will examine various works in poetry and fiction, analyze and discuss the genres, and develop your own creative techniques and strategies.
You will learn the art of critique and revision through writing workshops and other courses in the minor, where you will share your work with peers and hone your skills.

A minor in Creative Writing requires a minimum of 18 hours, excluding聽ENG 130听补苍诲听ENG 131, consisting of the following:

- ENG 236聽-聽Reading Like a Writer
- ENG 281聽-聽Introduction to Creative Writing

- ENG 446聽-聽Studies in Creative Writing聽(May be repeated for credit under different instructors)
